According to John Percy of The Telegraph, Cristian Gamboa and Sebastian Pocognoli could be sold by West Brom in January if a suitable offer comes in for them, while Callum McManaman is likely to go out on loan.
Meanwhile, there are still doubts over the future of striker Saido Berahino, with Newcastle United and Norwich City reportedly joining Tottenham Hotspur in the battle to sign the England U21 international.
It is little surprise that Costa Rican full-back Gamboa is up for sale, with the 26-year-old firmly down Tony Pulis’ pecking order. He’s made just one appearance in the league this season; a 30-minute cameo against Stoke in late August.
Pocognoli has had even less league football this season. In fact, he was named in a matchday squad for the first time this campaign at the weekend.
Fans might be disappointed to see McManaman go out on loan, as the former Wigan man has shown some signs of quality in recent games.
West Brom Head Coach Tony Pulis confirmed that he’ll have to let some players leave if he wants to make any January signings.
If we move people out, I’m hoping we get a little bit of money to reinvest, because we need to. But we have to move people out before we can move people in. We’re not in a position where we can spend millions blowing everyone out of the water, where we can go out and offer people £100,000 a week.
