West Brom were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Southampton at St. Mary’s. James Ward-Prowse hit a fantastic free-kick from 25 yards to put the Saints ahead inside 5 minutes.

The hosts were then awarded a penalty after Craig Dawson brought down Matt Targett inside the box, which was converted by Ward-Prowse.

Substitute Dusan Tadic sealed the points for Southampton with a fine finish in the 72nd minute. The Baggies remain in 13th despite the loss.

Here are four things we took from the defeat.
