West Brom left-back Christ Brunt will not feature in the FA Cup fourth round tie with Peterborough United on Saturday afternoon as the defender is still feeling the effects of the calf strain that saw him substituted in the third round replay win over Bristol City.

As reported by the Express and Star, Brunt, who missed the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday due to the injury, is not expected to be out for a long period of time, but he will not be ready in time to play at the weekend.

Sébastien Pocognoli replaced Brunt in the 17th minute of the game with Bristol City and he could get a start against Peterborough if Tony Pulis decides to give some of his squad a rest.

The other option would likely be Jonny Evans, as he started at left-back in the draw with Villa as Pulis set up with a very defensive-minded starting eleven.
