It’s unclear if West Brom are going to look at one certain player or just looking at a whole squad to collect ideas. There are no previous links with Gent or Wolfsburg players for Albion. Wolfsburg currently sit 8th in the Bundesliga and topped a group consisting of Manchester United, PSV and CSKA Moskva to get to this stage. Belgian outfit Gent current sit second in their league and also came second in their Champions League group which had Valencia, Zenit and Lyon in it.
Of course it’s not unusual for scouts to be at a game but this match will have 13 Premier League clubs there. The current top 5 will all be represented at the match. You can watch the game for yourself on BT Sport tomorrow night 7:45pm kick off.
The Telegraph are now reporting that the 13 Premier League clubs will be watching Gent striker Laurent Depoitre. The 27-year-old has 10 league goals for Gent this summer and has a reportedly been interested in a move to the Premier League. Tottenham came close to signing Depoitre in the summer after they failed with bids for Albion striker Saido Berahino.
