According to a report from talkSPORT, West Brom are interested in making a move for experienced German striker Sandro Wagner.
The Baggies and other potential suitors will have more confidence in getting the 28-year-old after he was coy about his future in Germany as he spoke to Bild, with a move to the Premier League looking likely.
We still have seven games. I promised the coach to give full power until the end. And my focus is on the league. I want to help the boys and the club. Then I go on vacation to Italy – and then we’ll see.
However, if Albion are to make a move for Wagner this summer, they will need to quickly pursue their interest, as fellow Premier League club Southampton are reported to have taken an interest in the German in recent weeks.
Wagner has been in excellent form for relegation-threatened SV Darmstadt in the Bundesliga this season, bagging an impressive 12 goals in 28 appearances; a goals to games ratio of just under one in two.
The prospect of signing Wagner is an inviting one for all, as he currently holds a hugely surprising low buyout clause of just £580,000; a fee that will be affordable to every single Premier League team and even most sides in the Championship.
