According to a surprise report from the Birmingham Mail, West Brom are one of the clubs that are taking an interest in Werder Bremen youngster Florian Grillitsch.
The 20-year-old playmaker has caught the eye of many so far this campaign, with glittering performances for Bremen in his breakthrough season, making an impressive 22 appearances so far in the Bundesliga.
Although Grillitsch’s displays have been impressive, his Bremen side find themselves in a spot of bother at the wrong end of the Bundesliga table, in 14th, as they look to escape relegation to the second German division.
However, if the Baggies are to tie up a deal for the impressive Austrian midfielder, they must act fast when the summer transfer window rolls around in July, as fellow Premier League survival hopefuls Crystal Palace are also said to be eyeing up a move for him.
The youngster will be hoping that if he can continue his current form in the Bundesliga up until the end of the season and possibly earn himself a move away from Germany, with England being the reported preferred destination.
