West Brom linked with move for Danish midfielder
West Brom are interested in signing defender Philip Billing from Championship side Huddersfield Town, according to a report from The Huddersfield Daily Examiner.
The 20-year-old joined The Terriers as a youngster back in 2013 and broke into the first team last season.
He featured in 13 Championship games as Huddersfield managed to avoid relegation; they ultimately finished in 19th place.
Billing is a big, physical midfielder. He’s 6’5″ tall and offers a serious presence in the middle of the park.
When he was in charge at Stoke City, head coach Tony Pulis was keen to have a powerful midfield player in his side, and he may well want the same at West Brom, hence the links to Billing.
The Danish U19 international is under contract at The John Smith’s Stadium until 2020, so if West Brom decide that they want him, they won’t be able to get him on the cheap.
