Goalkeeper extends West Brom contract
West Brom shot-stopper Boaz Myhill has extended his West Brom contract, committing his future to the club until 2018, amid interest from Burnley.
As reported by the Express and Star, the Baggies keeper will continue to provide competition for established number one, Ben Foster.
Burnley were rumoured to be interested in signing him, where they could have offered him regular football.
Myhill has been rewarded for his most successful season since joining from Hull for £1.5million in 2010. Due to injuries, Myhill made 25 appearances in the Premier League as Tony Pulis guided the Baggies to an 11th placed finish.
England international Foster missed a large chunk of the season with a knee injury but was brought back into the fold by Pulis when he returned to full fitness, despite a string of impressive performances from Myhill.
Since joining the club in 2010, Myhill has made a total of 78 appearances for the club.
Baggies manager Pulis has recently praised Myhill for his professionalism within the Baggies squad.
