West Bromwich Albion have completed their third signing of the summer, completing a move for Nacer Chadli for a reported club-record fee of £13 million. The winger joins from Tottenham Hotspur where he spent three years at the club making over 100 appearances scoring 25 goals and providing 10 assists.
The stats look good surrounding Albion’s newest addition as we pointed out on Twitter;

The Belgian International has been capped 32 times by his country although he missed out on their EURO 2016 squad.
Take a look through the following slideshow as we pick out five reasons why Nacer Chadli is a good signing for West Brom. Agree or disagree with our points? Make sure you share your views with us on Twitter!
Pace
Oh, how we’ve missed this. Chadli brings much-needed pace into the side especially out wide where we’ve experienced a lack of natural wingers over the past few seasons. Chadli can run at defenders pushing the opposition back, something that will only benefit Albion.
Creativity
Like the previous point midfield creativity is something we’ve been severely lacking. Chadli adds creativity and flair into the side which is a big plus point for Salomon Rondon. The forward just needs the chances made for him and he’ll easily score double what he has been. Hopefully, Chadli and Rondon can strike up a partnership.
Depth
The problem Albion had last season that we didn’t have any competition for places or the chance to rotate players. Chadli coming in gives us depth on the wings. With youngster Leko coming through and James McClean returning to his best form Albion can only hope for better displays from their wingers.
Versatility
Chadli is naturally a left winger but also has the ability to play on the right side of midfield or as a shadow striker in the 10 role. With more signings expected Chadli’s versatility could be crucial to Albion’s success this season.
Ambition
The first ever signing under the reign of Guochuan Lai means this transfer will go down in WBA history. The transfer shows ambition, signing an International quality winger who’s played in Europe is a real statement of intent from Albion. Hopefully more to come!
