Albion consider offering contract to Champions League winner
West Brom are apparently looking into the possibility of handing a contract to free agent Sulley Muntari, the midfielder who was part of the Inter Milan side that won the Champions League back in 2010.
The 32-year-old is currently a free agent after his contract with Saudi side Al Ittihad expired and a report from Ghana Soccer suggests that Albion are one of the clubs interested in signing him.
Tony Pulis decided to pull the plug on the proposed deal to sign Ignacio Camacho from Malaga during the transfer window and his squad still looks a bit short in the midfield area.
Former Liverpool star Momo Sissoko has been on trial with the Baggies for the last few weeks but has yet to be offered any sort of deal. Whether a potential move for Muntari is a backup plan in case Sissoko does not sign or if Albion would bring in both veterans remains to be seen.
Muntari is no stranger to English football having had spells with both Portsmouth and Sunderland.
