Midfielder won’t be joining West Brom after trial
Former Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko will not be joining West Brom on a permanent deal after the club decided not to offer him a contract following his recent trial at the club.
According to a report from Sky Sports, Albion have decided that with James Morrison and Chris Brunt close to returning to full fitness, there is no need for them to sign Sissoko, despite him impressing in training.
The former PSG star has been at West Brom since early September and played in a recent friendly against Indian Super League side Delhi Dynamos. He impressed Tony Pulis enough to have an extra seven days added to his trial but in the end, the decision has been made to let the 31-year-old leave.
Despite receiving approaches from clubs in both France and Germany,Sissoko is still hopeful of securing a deal to sign for a Premier League club, with Hull City and Sunderland apparently interested in his services.
