West Brom made it back-to-back wins to close out 2016 and welcome in the new year when they dispatched Hull 3-1 at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies went behind in the first half when Robert Snodgrass gave Hull the lead and the visitors were well on top at the interval before Chris Brunt levelled things up with a well-timed header shortly after the restart.

Gareth McAuley, the oldest outfield player in the Premier League, handed the hosts a much-deserved second half lead with another excellent header before James Morrison put the game beyond doubt.

The win saw Tony Pulis’ men rise to eighth in the Premier League table and they’re beginning to elevate themselves above the mid-table mediocrity they had become accustomed to.
