West Bromwich Albion’s FA Cup campaign lasted all of 90 minutes this season after Championship side Derby come from behind at The Hawthorns. Albion took the lead in the first half thanks to in-form winger Matt Phillips who scored another wonderful goal taking his tally to five for the season.
A slightly rotated Albion side soon saw their lead taken off them in the second half when Darren Bent levelled things up. Tom Ince then completed the turn around for Derby just three minutes later with a free-kick that left Myhill standing still. Derby held on for the victory to progress to the fourth round. The defeat for the Baggies means it will now be 50 years since they last won a major trophy.
