West Brom lost their third consecutive Premier League match this afternoon at the hands of a resolute Liverpool side.

It was a big game for Tony Pulis and his men and it was a good opportunity for them to extend their lead in eighth place in light of Southampton’s defeat against Manchester City yesterday.

However, they couldn’t make the most of their chances and fell short against Jurgen Klopp’s men, who impressed on the day by grinding out a very important point.

Chances were at a premium throughout the course of the match due to some resilient defending from both sides, but it was Liverpool who struck through a well-rehearsed set-piece goal, finished off by the head of Roberto Firmino.

Despite a late flurry of pressure from the Baggies, it was an away win for the Reds and one that kept their top four momentum up.

Here’s how we rated West Brom’s performances on the day.
