West Brom express interest in Tottenham star
West Bromwich Albion have expressed an interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer, according to a report by Simon Jones of The Mail.
The 24-year-old defender is clearly the fourth choice at Spurs with Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Eric Dier all ahead of him in the pecking order and he is keen to play more regular first team action.
Tottenham will reportedly listen to offers in the summer and West Brom are one of the sides who are interested in taking him.
Stuttgart and Koln, his former club, are also interested in the Austrian international but they are keen to take him on loan whereas Spurs would rather let him leave on a permanent deal.
Tony Pulis has reportedly earmarked a new central defender as one of his priorities this season as Gareth McAuley is reaching the end of his career and Pulis would like a long-term replacement ready for when the Northern Irishman is no longer in the side.
