West Brom manager Tony Pulis is stepping up his efforts to sign Chelsea legend John Terry as the former England star has doubts about a move to Bournemouth.
A report in the Telegraph claims that Terry fears Bournemouth’s open and fast flowing style of football may leave him exposed at the back, despite him being one of the Premier League’s better technical defenders in recent history.
Baggies manager Pulis is keen to sign the defender this summer and is preparing to hold talks with the Chelsea captain.
Terry is now believed to prefer a move to West Brom, who are known more for their defensive style of play.
There are believed to be offers on the table from both the Chinese Super League and the MLS but Terry is thought to be looking to stay in the Premier League.
The former England captain is now believed to be earning somewhere in the region of £50,000 at Chelsea, meaning wages would not be as much of an issue for Premier League clubs such as West Brom.
