Baggies still keen to sign Southampton outcast
According to the Daily Mail, Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez is still a target for West Brom ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report claims that West Brom are looking to sign a raft of new players to build on their top-ten finish in the Premier League.
Amongst that, manager Tony Pulis is eyeing up a new goalscorer to lead his line and is interested in Saints striker Rodriguez.
Pulis attempted to sign Rodriguez on loan in the last two transfer windows but failed to push a deal over the line, with the forward still getting chances at Southampton.
However, it appears as though Rodriguez could be let go this summer if Southampton decide to invest in another striker – with Manolo Gabbiadini, Charlie Austin and Shane Long also at the club.
The 27-year-old scored six goals in 34 games throughout the season for Southampton and could very well be set for a move.
