Baggies target Deeney to cost £35m
West Brom will be looking to bolster their striking options this summer and according to the Daily Mail, one of their targets is Watford striker Troy Deeney.
The Englishman hasn’t been in great form this season in what has been a quite woeful campaign for the Hornets, but this has not stopped the Baggies from keeping track of him as they hope to strengthen their front line ahead of next season.
However, a quite obvious stumbling block in any potential deal is that Watford are claimed by the Daily Mail to value their club captain at an astronomical sum of £35m.
This would blow West Brom’s record transfer fee out of the water and would be a huge risk at that price, so it may be a move from the Hornets to fend off potential suitors.
Everton and Leicester City are two other Premier League clubs that have been touted with moves for Deeney.
