Dawson set to sign new deal
West Brom’s Craig Dawson is poised to sign a new deal at the Hawthorns in the coming days.
The Baggies are understandably keen to tie down the defender after Premier League side Leicester made a £10million offer for his services just a few days ago.
Express and Star Sport claim that the 27-year-old has agreed an improved, longer-term contract with the club. Dawson is understood to currently be on a £25,000 per week wage, which could be almost tripled in his new deal.
Dawson played in all, but one of West Brom’s Premier League games last term and has certainly cemented a place in the side. He’s featured primarily on the right side of defence but offers the quality of playing in the centre as well.
The Englishman managed to net an impressive four goals in the recent campaign from the back, making him the joint third scorer amongst defensive players.
