West Brom have reportedly stepped up their efforts to sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea.
According to a report from the Mirror today, the Baggies are one of a staggering 20 clubs keen to land the Frenchman this summer, but are prepared to go the extra mile to bring him in.
Zouma is unlikely to get a sniff at Chelsea next season, with their defensive options appearing to be too strong. His chances have only been shortened by the recent arrival of Antonio Rudiger from Roma for a fee of around £35m.
The promising centre-back could only muster up three starts last season off the back of his return from a long-term knee injury, and this has prompted Chelsea to seek a loan move for their defender.
Although Zouma is stated to be keen on remaining in London, a move to West Brom would almost certainly guarantee a starting place in Tony Pulis’ line-up for next season.
