Premier League sides West Brom and Newcastle were considering moves for Huddlestone, but Derby appear to have beaten both of them to clinch a deal.
If there is serious interest from West Brom they still have the right to match Derby’s offer and hope they can give him a better deal than Derby are willing to.
West Brom signed midfielder Jake Livermore from Hull last season, who was Huddlestone’s midfield partner at Tottenham and Hull – with the possibility of them linking up for the third time.
The 30-year-old midfielder looks set to leave Hull after they were relegated from the Premier League last season.
