West Brom have made an enquiry to Arsenal about a possible transfer of full-back Kieran Gibbs, as reported by Simon Jones of the Mail.
The arrival of Sead Kolasinac at Arsenal has seemingly pushed Gibbs even further down the pecking order and West Brom will hope that a possibility of becoming a first-choice player will appeal to Gibbs, who will still have an eye on making England’s World Cup squad for Russia 2018.
Tony Pulis is apparently a fan of the 27-year-old, although West Brom are unwilling to pay the £12million asking price set by Arsenal.
Newcastle and Watford have also been linked with moves for the England international so if West Brom do want him, it looks like they might face a battle.
Arsenal seem happy enough to let Gibbs go as they have Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal to play as a left back or a left wing-back but they might need to lower their asking price to get him off the books.
