West Brom are not giving up in their pursuit of Middlesbrough centre-back Ben Gibson this summer, and are set to return with a third bid.
The Boro captain is a man in demand ahead of the forthcoming Premier League season, and West Brom appear to be the club holding the most serious interest in landing him.
According to Sky Sports, the Baggies are plotting a third bid that will be over £20m, which was the valuation of their second offer. If a deal is to be struck at over this price, it will be a club-record transfer fee for Tony Pulis’ side.
Boro appear to be determined to keep hold of the powerful central defender, but reports have stated that an offer worth around £30m would tempt them into selling their key asset.
West Brom remain keen to bolster their defensive reinforcements this summer, and a move for Gibson would undoubtedly go some way in doing that.
