Premier League football is back, and for West Brom, their first test will come tomorrow against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side.
Tony Pulis will be keen for his men to get off to the perfect start, with the Cherries travelling to the Hawthorns.
However, they will be well aware of the threat that the Cherries pose, especially after their recent successes in the transfer market. Saturday’s counterparts have shown a lot of ambition so far this summer, and West Brom will be keen to match the clubs around them with some shrewd dealings of their own.
Nonetheless, Saturday’s match promises to be one of difficulty for either side, and both will be desperate to get up and running, starting with an opening day victory.
There are many talented players set to be on show for either side, but just what would a combined line-up look like?
We’ve had our say on the best joint West Brom and Bournemouth side!
Ben Foster
This is a tricky one. However, for me, Foster just gets in ahead of Asmir Begovic.
Adam Smith
Smith is the best right-back between the two sides.
Jonny Evans
Evans is an undisputed starter for this side. He’s West Brom’s best defender.
Nathan Ake
Ake, too, is probably an undisputed starter. It’s an absolute coup for Bournemouth, too.
Charlie Daniels
West Brom aren’t blessed with quality at full-back, and Daniels comfortably gets into this side.
Jake Livermore
Livermore slots into this side as the first defensive midfielder.
Harry Arter
Arter is, perhaps, the best central midfielder of the two sides.
Matt Phillips
Phillips is a key player for the Baggies and gets into this side on the right.
Nacer Chadli
Chadli slots into this side. Despite his inconsistencies, he’s a player of immense quality.
Josh King
King was outstanding for Bournemouth last season and is definitely worthy of a place in this line-up.
