Wimmer in talks over Albion move
Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer is in talks with West Brom over a potential £15 million move to the Hawthorns this summer.
The Telegraph reports that the defender is surplus to requirements at Tottenham and could complete a move to West Brom in the coming days.
Wimmer, who has also been linked with a summer move to Southampton, looks likely to set the Baggies back around £15 million.
The deal could potentially rise to £20 million through instalments and clauses included.
The Austrian defender arrives potentially as a replacement for Jonny Evans, with Manchester City interested in signing the defender.
City have already had a £18 million bid for Evans rejected for the player and could return with an improved offer.
The Baggies had been heavily linked with Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson following their relegation back to the Championship but were put off by their huge asking price.
