Scottish winger Oliver Burke has limped out of West Brom’s U23 clash with Brighton after just 18 minutes.

Burke, who was in action to get some more game time, was forced off early with an apparent injury, although it is unclear exactly what the problem was at this time.

The 20-year-old winger now looks to be a doubt for Albion’s clash with West Ham on Saturday, although he could have been substituted purely as a precaution.

Some better news from the game for West Brom was the return to action of veteran defender Gareth McAuley, who completed 45 minutes on his return from a thigh injury which he suffered whilst on international duty for Northern Ireland during the summer.

Two other members of Albion’s squad, Claudio Yacob and Sam Field, also featured in the game, which West Brom won 5-1.
