West Brom are reportedly keeping tabs on Villarreal forward Cedric Bakambu.
According to a report from Italian news outlet Calciomercato, the Baggies are keen on the striker, who has been catching the eye of English clubs out in Spain for some time now.
The DR Congo international was in fine form last season, and has replicated his positive performances in La Liga this term. Bakambu has netted a highly respectable total of eight goals in his last 10 league games, and appears to have caught the attention of West Brom.
Tony Pulis’ men have been in poor form this season and are sitting in a dangerously low position. Goals have been coming at a premium, and the addition of Bakambu would surely enhance West Brom’s threat going forward.
However, if the Baggies are serious about landing the 26-year-old, they will need to fend off competition from West Ham.
The Hammers retained an interest in Bakambu back in the summer, and the striker himself confirmed that they had made a move to sign him. Calciomercato claims that West Ham are still keen.
