West Brom and Burnley linked with McClean and Mee swap deal
West Brom are planning a move for Burnley defender Ben Mee if they lose Jonny Evans in January.
The Telegraph reports that Mee has been identified as a possible replacement with the Baggies bracing themselves for January interest.
Mee has been at the heart of a resilient Burnley defence and the 28-year-old has impressed alongside James Tarkowski at the back.
Burnley, who have been this season’s surprise package in the Premier League, will be desperate to keep hold of Mee. They could use West Brom’s interest to re-ignite their own in James McClean.
Sean Dyche’s side had a £8 million bid for the winger rejected in the summer and will be in the market for a wide man when the January window opens.
Robbie Brady is unlikely to play again this season due to injuries and McClean could be the man to replace him.
McClean has only made two Premier League starts this season and could be sold to make further funds available for Pardew.
