West Brom player ratings: Stoke City (A)
West Brom’s survival hopes took a blow this afternoon, after Stoke City ran out 3-1 winners at the Bet365 Stadium.
Under pressure manager Mark Hughes took a vital win, as the Potters boss looks to solidify his position in the Potteries. West Brom meanwhile go yet another game without a win, as Alan Pardew looks for his first victory as Albion boss.
Stoke took the lead in the 19th minute, with Welshman Joe Allen putting them ahead with a close range shot. The Potters would add a second just before half time, with Maxim Choupo-Moting’s cool finish making it 2-0 at the break.
Albion would respond early in the second, with Salomon Rondon scoring to make it 2-1. West Brom would dominate the chances in the second half. However, they weren’t able to put it in the back of the net.
Stoke would take advantage of this, with Ramadan Sobhi scoring at the death to wrap up the three points for the home side.
The result means Albion stay in the relegation zone, still three points off safety.
