West Brom have recalled young midfielder Rakeem Harper from his loan spell at League 1 side Blackburn Rovers.
The 17-year-old failed to nail down a starting spot in Rovers’ league side and only made 10 appearances in all competitions for Tony Mowbray’s ever-improving side.
Harper made two senior appearances for West Brom in August before his loan move, with a substitute cameo against Bournemouth in the Premier League before another substitute appearance in the EFL Cup against Accrington Stanley.

Harper’s most notable performance during his loan spell was made for all the wrong reasons as the midfielder was sent off in the 33rd minute of Blackburn’s FA Cup tie against Crewe Alexandra.
The youngster will now be hoping to catch new Baggies boss Alan Pardew’s eye in West Brom’s Under 23 side, where impressive performances earned himself senior appearances from former boss Tony Pulis and his loan move to Blackburn.
