West Brom keen to land Ibrahim Amadou
West Brom are being linked with a move for Lille star Ibrahim Amadou.
According to a report from talkSPORT, the Baggies want to land the 24-year-old, who has been in impressive form this season in Ligue 1.
Amadou has experience of playing as a holding midfielder but has featured mainly as a central defender this season. Because of this versatility, the Cameroon-born player is held in high regard by Lille, with the French outfit keen to receive top dollar from any potential sale.
It seems Crystal Palace have made the boldest approach to land Amadou at this early stage of the transfer window. Reports suggest that a bid worth £16 million has already been made by the Eagles, but Lille want at least £18m for Amadou.
With Grzegorz Krychowiak’s short-term future at West Brom appearing to be uncertain, landing a new holding midfielder could be on Alan Pardew’s mind. Although Amadou has flourished at centre-back in 2017/18, he’s certainly a competent player in this position as well.
