A debut for Daniel Sturridge was really the only positive as West Brom were outclassed by top of the table Manchester City.

The result leaves West Brom rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table, and with teams around them picking up form, the future does not look good for Albion.

Kevin De Bruyne was a big threat for City, and helped open the scoring by setting up Fernandinho. The Belgian then added a second goal after halftime.

Sergio Aguero finished Albion off, adding a third late in the game to seal the Baggies defeat. Albion are now four points from safety, and desperately need three points at the weekend where they take on equally threatened Southampton.

Jonny Evans’ absence did not help Albion’s cause, with the Northern Irish international the subject of a late deadline day bid by Arsenal.
