Corinthians line up summer move for Salomon Rondon
Brazilian side Corinthians are eyeing up a summer move for West Brom striker Salomon Rondon, according to a report in Mercado da Bola.
It was revealed last week that Rondon has a £16.5m release clause in his contract that can be triggered if Albion are relegated and with it looking all but impossible for the Baggies to escape the drop, it seems like Rondon’s time at the club is coming to an end.
Since joining West Brom from Zenit St Petersburg for £12million back in 2015, Rondon has scored 23 goals in 103 Premier League games.
The Venezuelan has had a mixed time at things at Albion. Sometimes, he’s looked like a world beater but on other occasions he’s been very poor and has left the fans feeling very frustrated.
Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for the 28-year-old as they look for a suitable back-up to Roberto Firmino, but they’ll now face competition for his signature from Corinthians.
