Burnley linked with swoop for Jay Rodriguez
Burnley reportedly want to sign Jay Rodriguez from West Brom this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, the Clarets are plotting a move to bring the striker back to Turf Moor after he left the club in 2012.
Rodriguez departed Burnley to secure his first move to the top flight with Southampton and has since established himself as a more than capable Premier League striker.
The one-time England international has been a standout performer in a bleak campaign for West Brom and it seems, with the club destined for relegation to the Championship, interest from the top flight is beginning to build.
Rodriguez has found the net on a total of 11 occasions and has been a crucial player for the Baggies this season despite their misfiring ways.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is claimed to be an admirer of the attacker and a summer move could be on the cards. West Brom will, however, be keen to receive more than the £12m they spent on Rodriguez last summer if they are forced into a sale.
