There have been late reports with two big bits of transfer news concerning West Bromwich Albion.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Andros Townsend has told his club that he wants to leave the club on loan this month according to reports from The Telegraph . Albion have been heavily linked with a move for the England winger but initial reports pointed towards a permanent deal. It now looks like that the player wants to leave on loan as he looks to boost his playing time to get back into the England setup. Townsend last played in October for Spurs.

The other concerns striker Saido Berahino. The Guardian are reporting that Stoke City are lining up a club record bid for the 22-year-old. It’s very early reports but it appears that Albion would hold out for more than the £23-million Tottenham offered in the summer for the England-Under-21 star. Stoke’s current club record buy is the £12-million capture of former Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri.
