West Brom’s defensive woes look like they have returned as head coach Tony Pulis confirmed that Jonny Evans is set for another spell on the sidelines due to injury.

The Northern Ireland international defender limped out of the FA Cup tie with Reading in the final few minutes, in fact, the Royals scored their third goal whilst he was off the field receiving treatment and Tony Pulis confirmed to the Express and Star that he’s set for a spell out of the side.

He said:

He’s going to be out for a while again. They get their third goal with Jonny off the pitch. He was behind the goal he weren’t actually on the pitch when they scored their third goal. So he’s going to be out for a few weeks now as well.

Albion started the game with Reading without Craig Dawson and Gareth McAuley and both are still doubts for the upcoming clash with Crystal Palace.

McAuley is still suffering with a hamstring injury and Dawson is nursing a sore ankle meaning two of James Chester, Cristian Gamboa and Sebastien Pocognoli might have to play in the home tie with Alan Pardew’s side this weekend and possibly the trip to Leicester City three days later.
