West Brom boss Tony Pulis has been given a major boost ahead of his side’s trip to West Ham with the news that defender Jonny Evans and midfielder Claudio Yacob are both in contention to start the game, as per Paul Suart of The Birmingham Mail.
Evans has been out for around a month with a calf injury but his rehabilitation is going well and he could be available for selection, although Albion could decide to take extra care with the Northern Irishman as they won’t want him re-injuring the muscle by doing too much, too soon.
Claudio Yacob also missed the win against Stoke City after he fell ill with suspected appendicitis. However, he took a trip to the hospital and has tests and they’ve come back clear and the midfielder has been back in training all week.
With West Brom’s season going so well, they might decide that they can afford not to rush Evans back, although the possibility of facing the inform Andy Carroll might convince them to bring back their best defender.
