West Brom linked with summer move for Serie A star
Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City are keeping tabs on Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, according to reports in Italy.
The 21-year-old has been linked with moves to Arsenal, Bournemouth and Premier League Champions Leicester City in the past and became one of the most talked about young players in Italy after impressing whilst on loan at Ascoli last year.
He’s now back with Udinese and is a regular in their side and both Stoke and West Brom have reportedly had scouts watching him over the last few weeks.
The Czech U21 international has featured in 21 games for Udinese this season and has three goals and four assists to his name.
Despite signing Jake Livermore in January, midfielders keep getting linked with Tony Pulis’ side, so it seems like the Albion boss will be in the market for a central player this summer and Jankto could fit the bill perfectly.
Reports in Italy say that bids of around £8m could be enough to get the midfielder. Time will tell if Albion are prepared to stump up the cash.
