West Bromwich Albion are among a host of Premier League clubs who have shown interest in signing Everton midfielder James McCarthy, who has been valued by the Merseyside club at £25m, according to Bleacher Report’s football insider Dean Jones.
The 26-year-old has gained interest from Leicester City as well as West Brom, who are keen to add a midfielder after losing Scottish international Darren Fletcher to Stoke City earlier in the summer.

The Baggies’ boss Tony Pulis is looking to strengthen all areas of his side as he looks for at least a mid-table finish next season.
The Baggies had pursued Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph but were priced out of that move and with McCarthy having a £25m price tag, the same could happen again.
Pulis is thought to be looking for a cheaper option and would rather spend the majority of his funds on a striker as he looks to bolster his attack.
McCarthy may struggle to get into the Everton side in the upcoming season with manager Ronald Koeman already adding midfielder Davy Klaassen this summer.
The Irish international may then be looking to move away from Goodison Park in search of regular first team action and it is fair to say that many Premier League teams will fight for his signature.
