Sunderland are poised to beat West Brom to the signing of Marc Wilson, according to the Mirror.
The Bournemouth man has been linked with a move to the Baggies throughout the course of the summer, but it looks as though the Black Cats have lured him away from the south coast.
Wilson spent the second half of last season on loan with West Brom after being deemed surplus to Eddie Howe’s requirements at the Cherries, and it looks as though he’d done enough to keep the Baggies interested.
Tony Pulis is claimed to be a big admirer of the 29-year-old, but Sunderland are set to tie up a cut-price deal for the versatile full-back.
West Brom have had a busy summer transfer window and have stocked up on new signings. Kieran Gibbs was recruited yesterday from Arsenal, bolstering the Baggies’ wide, defensive options for the season ahead.
Wilson is set to join Sunderland before the deadline in the near future.
