West Brom set to offer Jonny Evans a new contract
West Brom boss Tony Pulis wants to offer Jonny Evans an improved contract in the near future.
According to John Percy of the Telegraph, the Northern Irishman is set to be offered around £80,000-a-week, making him the highest paid player in the club’s history.
Evans was a transfer target for Arsenal, Leicester City and Manchester City in the summer and it would not be a huge shock if they, plus others, came back in for the defender.
The former Manchester United man hs two years left on his current deal and West Brom will not want to let him get into his final; year as they could end up losing him for free.
Pulls spoke about the fact that Arsenal and City were interested in his player but said that he was never at risk of being sold as neither side met their valuation.
Whether that valuation changes, if and when Evans signs a new deal, remains to be seen/
