West Brom failed in their pursuit to sign Josef de Souza from Fenerbahce last summer, but have reportedly revived their interest in the Brazilian.
According to the Daily Mail, the Baggies remain admirers of the powerful midfielder, and want to add him to the ranks in the January transfer window in a couple of months’ time.
Turkish reports indicated that Tony Pulis was pondering another move for Souza in January last month, and it looks as though plans are now in place for the club to make an attempt to finally tie up a deal.
Souza was understood to have been keen on moving to the Premier League last summer, but Fenerbahce wanted to retain the services of one of their key players.
West Brom are well stocked with midfield options but if the Daily Mail are to be believed, Pulis is keen to add another reinforcement to the ranks.
The 28-year-old was the subject of a bid worth £10.6 million from West Brom in the summer.
