According to talkSPORT, West Brom are interested in signing Cedric Bakambu for Villarreal with West Ham and Newcastle also reportedly interested in the striker.
Bakambu has impressed at Villarreal for many years now and it hasn’t been any different this season, he currently sits thirrd in the La Liga goal-scoring charts behind the best player in the world, Lionel Messi, and former West Ham striker, Simone Zaza, who looked hopeless at The Hammers last campaign.
Although Villarreal do not want to sell their star striker, they would budge if the price was right and if the West Brom board stick to their word of backing Tony Pulis, then the move could happen.
Albion have managed to score just nice goals in 11 games this year and look desperate for more fire-power and Bakambu would certainly provide that.
Whether Albion would be able to convince him to join remains to be seen but he is certainly the type of player they need.
