West Brom defender Ahmed Hegazi is being linked with a January move to Liverpool and Leicester.
The Egyptian international has been in good form since arriving in England despite the Baggies’ poor start to the season. He has been largely utilised alongside Jonny Evans and has settled in well.
Hegazi is on loan at West Brom from Al Ahly, a club in the player’s homeland, and it’s stated by ESPN that Liverpool and Leicester City are keen to land the defender.
The Baggies are well-stocked in terms of central defenders but will be keen to retain Hegazi’s services, despite him only being at the club on a temporary basis at this stage.
However, it’s believed that West Brom have the option to buy Hegazi permanently for a fee of just £5m should he impress for the remainder of the season.
A big offer could tempt Al Ahly, though, so West Brom will be hopeful that they can keep hold of the experienced defender.
