West Brom youngster Roberts linked with shock move to France
Highly-thought of West Brom youngster Tyler Roberts is reportedly a target for Ligue 1 side Marseille.
The Daily Mail report that the French side are keeping tabs on the player who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Should Marseille look to make a move for Roberts, they would be able to land him on the cheap.
Compensation rules mean that any move abroad would come with a minimal fee, unlike any potential deal for another Premier League side to sign him, as seen with Dominic Solanke’s move to Liverpool in the summer.
The report suggests that the French side could pay as little as £280,000 for his signature but the Baggies are desperate to keep hold of him, with Championship clubs also taking note of his potential.
Roberts is currently out on loan, applying his trade at League One side Walsall, where he has scored five league goals this season.
