Premier League side Arsenal are interested in signing Jonny Evans and are happy to include French defender Mathieu Debuchy as part of the deal to seal the transfer, according to a report on the Evening Standard.
The Baggies face a difficult task of keeping hold of their star defender Evans, who is wanted by Manchester City and Arsenal.
However, the Baggies are more likely to negotiate with the Gunners after they revealed they would be willing to give Debuchy in return, plus cash.
This is a more appealing deal for West Brom, who need to recruit experienced players as they face a relegation battle this season.
The Baggies want £25m for Northern Irish centre-back Evans and have made it clear that they will not budge on that valuation. However, by including Debuchy, Arsenal could offer less money and still secure the deal.
Pardew is keen to sign a striker this month to help his side avoid relegation and selling Evans could provide him with the funds to secure the services of a goalscorer.
Debuchy wants to leave the Emirates and has made it clear that he desires to stay in the Premier League, so a possible swap deal could be on the cards.
