Albion youngster leaves for Scotland on loan
West Brom defender Max Melbourne has joined Ross County on loan until the end of the season, the club have confirmed.
Melbourne could make his debut in Ross County’s match with Aberdeen tonight, having been registered in time.
The 19-year-old plays primarily at left-back, but can also venture forward to play as a left-midfielder or move central and play at centre-back.
Melbourne is yet to make his debut for West Brom, but was named in the squad for the Baggies 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace in December. He has been a regular for the U23 side, however, making 23 appearances. Previously, he has featured for the U18s, making 13 appearances for them.
West Brom currently sit bottom of the Premier League table. They travel to league leaders Manchester City tonight. Melbourne’s U23 side are fairing no better than the senior team, as they also sit bottom of the PL2 second division.
