Manager Alan Pardew has revealed that midfielders James Morrison and Nacer Chadli are still a long way off returning for the club, as reported by the Express and Star.

Morrison has been injured since September, whereas Chadli has only played 16 minutes since October due to a long-standing thigh problem.

Pardew has admitted we are unlikely to see either player until mid-March.

Morrison is still some way off and Chadli is a long way off.

Midfielder Jake Livermore though is nearing a return and is expected to feature in Albion’s crucial six-pointer against Huddersfield Town.

The English midfielder injured his hamstring in their big FA Cup win against Liverpool, and he couldn’t be back soon enough for Pardew, as the end-of-season run-in is quickly approaching.

More good news for Pardew’s side comes with the return of captain Evans as well as Kieran Gibbs and Grzegorz Krychowiak, who will all be in the squad for the visit to Stamford Bridge tonight.

West Brom are currently at the foot of the table and despite last week’s 3-2 home loss to Southampton, there are promising signs that Albion are improving.

They will be extra determined tonight when they face a Chelsea side who have been thumped by relegation-threatened Bournemouth and Watford in recent weeks.
