Ali Gabr given clearance to be selected
West Brom’s January signing Ali Gabr has received clearance to be selected for his side’s upcoming games, according to a report from the Birmingham Mail.
He is in line to make his full debut for the club this weekend at the Hawthorns when Southampton visit in the last 16 of the FA Cup.
The defender was signed from Zamalek on a loan deal until the end of the season but hasn’t been able to feature in his side’s losses to Manchester City, Southampton and Chelsea because he didn’t have the relevant clearance.
His availability comes at a crucial time, with Albion struggling to keep their place in the league at present and another body in could help to get them out of the trouble which they are currently in.
There is an option for the club in the summer to make the move permanent, which will likely depend on which division the Midlands club are playing their football next season.
