Gareth Barry doubtful for Leicester game
West Brom’s relegation hopes have suffered a further setback as it’s been revealed that Gareth Barry is a serious doubt for the game against Leicester City this weekend, according to the Mirror.
Barry has performed well this season, having featured in 25 games so far, but was forced to miss last weekend’s loss at Watford.
The player’s experience would have been key having recently become the Premier League’s all-time appearance holder, so it may make a big difference if he isn’t in the side this week.
His passing accuracy currently stands at 76%, having made 927 passes to date in the Premier League this term.
Barry was also involved in the taxi incident in the club’s recent trip to Barcelona, where four senior players stole a taxi, breaking the clubs curfew on their winter break. The ex-Everton man remains a key player for Alan Pardew, though.
He is expected to return next weekend when the side make a trip to Bournemouth in the Premier League.
